Atugan River Trek Adventure (ARTA for short) is now accepting tour groups to embark on this 5-hour trek along the Atugan River in Impasug-ong, Bukidnon. The trek will start at 7-8 o’clock in the morning and will take approximately five (5) hours. Guides will be assigned to accompany the group during the tour. At the end of the trek, lunch will be served at the riverside; a fitting way to end a half day of pure adventure and nature.

The first group to go on this trip will be featured in this website and a free CD of pictures and/or videos taken during the trek will be given as a gift for being the pioneer group to take part in this endeavor.

Fees are as follows:

 Trek Fees:*

- Php180.00/head (with lunch)

- Php100.00/head (without lunch)

- Plus Php500.00 Guide Fee/group

* Fee includes all permits.

We had asked for help from anyone who could help this boy in the hope that he might be able to overcome this illness through a liver transplant. A river trek enterprise is being planned in the Atugan River which is located in Impasug-ong, Bukidnon, in the Philippines. This endeavor was envisioned by barangay councilor, Rory P. Roque, in order to provide income for the people who will serve as guides to those who want to venture into river trekking, as well as provide money for people who will be able start businesses like eateries, shops, sell native wares and the like.  View full article »

After a year-long wait, residents of Barangay Capitan Bayong, who have not had a chance to finish grade school or high school, will finally get a chance to study and finish elementary or high school levels. The Alternative Learning System (ALS) was launched at a ceremony held at the Capitan Bayong Covered Court.

Cagayan de Oro and Iligan cities in Mindanao were worst hit when Sendong slammed ashore while people slept late on Friday and early Saturday, sending torrents of water and mud through villages and stripping mountainsides bare.
Floods washed away entire houses with families inside in dozens of coastal villages in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan. Rarely hit by storms, these cities were unprepared for the onslaught.

As of this writing, the death toll has been pegged at 952 while the missing still number at more than 400.

These cities are now in dire need of basic supplies such as clothing, food and water.

The Reading Center of Capitan Bayong in Impasug-ong, Bukidnon is finally open! This project was started six (6) months ago in an effort to provide literacy materials to the people of Barangay Capitan Bayong. Below are pictures of the newly opened Reading Center.

It has been three (3) months since the 1st Soapbox Derby was held in Barangay Capitan Bayong in Impasug-ong, Bukidnon. The Soapbox Derby was held in an effort to raise funds for the construction of a Reading Center for Capitan Bayong and Bukidnon Outdoors is happy to announce that construction is underway!

This little boy’s name is Rodel Lundaan. His family resides in Capitan Bayong in Impasug-ong, and he needs our help. He has a condition called Biliary Atresia. This is a congenital condition which means he was born with it. His skin color and his eyes are a deep yellow-greenish color (jaundice). He is 1 year and 8 months old but his size and weight is that of a 6 month old baby. He is badly in need of medical attention. View full article »
